The Ramokgopa family

Mabusa and Lebohang share a profound dream — to witness more Africans being discipled and catching the "missions bug," inspired by the call in Romans 10:13-15. As individuals deeply committed to their faith, they carry a heartfelt desire to see the least reached communities in Africa, especially in Mayotte, come to know the transformative power of the Gospel.

Get to know them

Originally from South Africa, Mabusa and Lebohang grew up in Christian homes. They met during a mission trip to the Yao of Malawi and later got married. With a heart for reaching the least reached, they left South Africa to serve among the Kibushi of Mayotte. Currently homeschooling their three beautiful children – Philippe (7), Daniel (5), and Paballo (2) – after their time in Mayotte, they returned to South Africa to lead CAPRO Missions South Africa. Together, they have been in full-time ministry for 15 years. Mabusa is currently pursuing a part-time BA in Anthropology and Sociology, having completed his missions training in Nigeria. Lebohang studied Psychology and Christian Counseling, completing her two-year missions training in Kenya.

They love community and witnessing people fulfill Christ’s calling on their lives. Their passion lies in raising and training disciples who, in turn, will raise others within and beyond the local church space, ultimately leading to frontier missions and church planting among the least/unreached peoples.

Their ministry

Based in South Africa, Mabusa serves as the National Director of Capro Missions SA, while Lebohang plays a important role as Member/People Care. Their ministry calling revolves around mobilizing local churches and believers to actively engage in cross-cultural contextual missions. As leaders of the team, Mabusa and Lebohang provide essential guidance, leadership, and member care to individuals navigating their missions journey abroad. Their dedication extends to various aspects of ministry, including preaching the Gospel, pre-marriage counseling, student ministry, and discipleship in the University of Pretoria and Tshwane University of Technology.
