Get to know him
Originally from Lake Tanganyika, Gift was born into a Christian family of 4. Unfortunately, having to supply for his sibling’s needs, Gift quit school and worked at a young age in a transportation company. After couple months, he was involved in a car accident, leading him to hospital for weeks. It is at this moment where he surrendered to God and committed to serve Him with his talent : football. In 2015 and 2018, both of his parents passed away from health issues. Nonetheless, Gift persevered in his education, completing his high school degree thank for a sport scholarship. Following his coaching and leadership roles, Gift transitioned to a new chapter in 2021 when he responded to a call for mission work. He joined the Logos Hope for two years in the book fair department, embarking on a journey from Africa to Europe and the Middle East. In this capacity, he actively shared God’s love, by welcoming visitors as they boarded the ship.
Now, with a heart dedicated to spreading God’s good news through sports, Gift is planning to return to Operation Mobilisation Lake Tanganyika.
