Originally from the East region of Burkina Faso, Barthélémy encountered the Lord in 1992. After his baptism, he actively engaged in his local church, working with youth and children. His biblical and theological training, completed with his wife Honorine from 2002 to 2005, led him to become the lead pastor successively in Samboani. He also served as an advisor to the regional youth office of the churches. Barthélemy then embarked on a full-time mission as a church planter, evangelism trainer, and Sunday school teacher trainer in Burkina Faso and Mali from 2009 to 2019.

Currently residing in Chad with his family in Abéché, he serves as a Missionary of the Good News with SIM WAMO in partnership with AIM Chad. Meanwhile, he successfully obtained diplomas from the Center for Biblical and Agropastoral Training in Niendouga, Logos Christian University in Ouagadougou in 2019, and the Francophone Africa Missiological Institute in Ouagadougou, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Missiology in 2021.

Barthélémy and Honorine arrived in June 2022 to commence a program called TIMO (Training In Ministry Outreach). Their vision for Abéché is to share the Gospel with every person, especially since the majority in this region are Muslims, constituting 95%. They are focused on learning the language, understanding the culture of the people, engaging in evangelism and discipleship, and sharing experiences with Christians living in the city, especially the youth, for evangelistic ministry. This includes sharing the missionary vision with local pastors and missionaries, providing teachings on mission in churches, and more.
